Celebrating Live Music and Delicious Food in Suffolk

Due to COVID-19, for the health and safety of our staff, audience members and performers, we have had to close the Froize for the coming months. Any events that were scheduled, we will do our very best to rearrange once Coronavirus is under control.

If you would like to organise a refund for purchased tickets, please contact David at the Froize. If you would prefer to keep your ticket for the rescheduled date, we will post up new dates as soon as we are able. Thanks for your understanding and hopefully see you at Folk at the Froize some time in the not too distant future.

Sunday 26th April

We are sad to report that this event has now been cancelled. Rachael is postponing her April tour due to the current circumstances with COVID-19.

If you had previously bought tickets, David will be getting in touch to organise a refund.

Sunday 31st May

Join us at Folk at the Froize on Sunday 31st May 2020 for an evening with Hannah Sanders and Ben Savage.

Huddled round a single microphone, singing intimate duets with just mountain dulcimer, dobro and guitar, Hannah Sanders & Ben Savage are an acoustic duo that sound classically timeless, yet their music is unique.

Support will be from Kolyadin, Carson and Shaer.

This event costs £20.00 including a Froize feast.

Sunday 14th June

Join us for the start of Froize in June with Gnoss, on tour from Scotland.

Gnoss are a dynamic Scottish four-piece of fiddle, flute, guitar and percussion, who tackle energetic tune sets and driving folk songs with a ‘maturity of ability many of a greater age will envy’ (The Living Tradition). Graham Rorie, Aidan Moodie, Connor Sinclair and Craig Baxter have been tipped as ‘ones to watch’by Songlines magazine for their lively, engaging and honest performances.

This event costs £20.00 including a Froize feast.

What is Folk at the Froize?

A monthly event which takes place in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, close to the Heritage Coast in a place called Chillesford. David Grimwood, owner of the Froize, wants to bring together two of his passions in one evening: gorgeous music and fabulous food (all locally sourced of course).

We support the UK music scene, both locally and nationally, and bring you artists that you may or may not have had the opportunity to hear before, that we think are simply wonderful. Don’t be fooled by the name … it’s not just about Folk music. ‘Folk’ covers such a broad spectrum of musical styles these days, and we plan on finding some real gems!

Interested Performers

With only 12 events per year, our performance spots are very limited, but we always appreciate an email from interested performers.

Please email lucy@folkatthefroize.uk to tell us a little about yourself and please include a link to a video that represents your live performance.

We try our best to reply to every enquiry but due to the high volume of applicants, we cannot promise or guarantee a reply.
